Sunday, August 7, 2011 Villa Arbusto Museum Complex has opened a personal exhibition of artist Raffaele Iacono. 30 paintings on paper are featured in a process that binds the host to bring the eye through an imaginary journey in the rarefied atmosphere of his original poetic work produced by persistent application and subtractions, the violent gestures and soft opposition. The artist lived in a cosmopolitan environment began painting at the age of 20 years and his many trips to Europe led him to enter as the greatest exponent, varied panorama of painting in the island, the trend that goes back to the ways and the experiences of the best continental and European informel.
The exhibition of Raphael Iacono therefore wish to be a new and significant time to promote the meeting between the artist and the viewer in a succession of paintings and paintings of great sophistication and high level of expression.
Organized by the City of Lacco Ameno with the artistic direction of prof. Giovanni Castagna, the installation by the dealer and was sponsored by the Hotel of Ischia and by the health care, and day-Sog Tourism Ischia and Procida, is part of its program of events entitled: "Villa Arbusto: an island in the Mediterranean between music and theater, "financed by Regione Campania (Po 2007/2013 ERDF Obj. op. 1.12).
