A night of music and memories in Atrani. The natural place of Piazza Umberto I with the vintage dress of 50s, 60s and 70s for the concert by Beppe Palomba and Plan B.
Starting from 21.30 Once upon a time the night will immerse the audience in the magical atmosphere of the time, telling, for one night, a world away that has inexorably shaped our present not only music. Beppe Palomba (Guitar, Kibass, Keyboards), Amedeo Nice (Percussion, Keyboards), Amerigo Nice (Keyboards), Enzo Tortora (Violin) and Dora Balestra (Sax), through music, images, words and scenes evoke the hushed atmosphere of the Night , local symbol of that period. The Club had its moment of glory at the turn of the 50s and 70s, representing for the boys of the time the ideal meeting place to break free from everyday life and daydreaming escape to a concept and a practice, of life closer to that "enjoying life" till then exclusively for the better off. Those were the years of the Dolce Vita, the first scandal at the hands of "paparazzi", the first starlets seeking notoriety by any means ... well, they were the years in which everything seemed possible, with the music to accompany the long and tormented chase dreams and ideals. Those were the years of Fred Hammond, Peppino di Capri, Renato Carosone, Marino Marini, Fred Bongusto that, with their melodies, were the patrons of the Night dance tickets, often the likes of Gigi Proietti and Lucio Battisti. Near the city's luxury, however, there were also the basement and cellars, arranged artfully to house band almost unknown in search of fame and success and boys of the province, far from the glossy atmosphere of the big cities like Rome and Milan, who did not want why give up the music and all that it represented. The music, the undisputed star of the world, will return for one night as it was at the time, played live, without artifice electronic and "tricks of the trade", giving the village square of Atrani a retro charm totally different from what we are used to live every day.
